What a role unlocks: Discord roles, groups, points and more.

Rewards are what a role unlocks: a Discord role, a place in a Telegram group, points, a secret, an NFT, a gated form, voting rights, a profile item, or access to a page. Members see a role's rewards on its card, locked until they meet the requirements, and get them once they hold the role.

Add a reward to a role

1. In the admin panel, open Spaces & roles and select the role.
2. Under Unlocks, press Add reward.
3. Pick the reward type.
4. Set it up. Each type's page below walks through its form.
5. Press the add button at the end of the form, usually Add reward.

A role can unlock several rewards, and one role often combines them: a Discord role, some points and access to a page.

Some rewards need a connection first. For Discord and Telegram you add Guild's bot to your server or group; for points you create a point system. The form walks you through it the first time, and later you pick from what you already set up. The admin's Connections page lists the platforms your rewards use.

How members get rewards

Members get a role's rewards when they qualify for it, either when they join or when they press Check access. Some rewards need one more step from them:

• a Discord role or Telegram group needs their Discord or Telegram account connected;
• a secret is revealed with Reveal Secret;
• an NFT is minted with Collect NFT, and the member pays gas.

When a member loses access

When a member stops meeting a role's requirements, they lose the role, and Guild takes back the rewards that can be taken back:

• Discord: the role is removed from them in your server, unless you switched on Keep role once earned for that reward.
• Telegram: the bot removes them from the group.
• Points: kept by default. Each point system decides whether points are kept or deducted when access is lost, when a member leaves the guild, and when a reward is deleted.
• Form: they can no longer fill out the form.
• Voting rights: their votes stop counting for new votes. Votes already cast stay as they were.
• Permission: the page, space or permission it granted closes for them.
• Secret: the secret can't be taken back once revealed.
• NFT: the NFT is onchain in their wallet and stays theirs.

When a member leaves the guild, every role and its rewards go, including Discord roles set to Keep role once earned.

[!TIP] Changing a role's requirements changes who keeps its rewards. Before adding a requirement to a role many people hold, check how many of them meet it, or put the new condition on a new role.
