NFTs

Let members mint an NFT for their role.

An NFT reward deploys an NFT collection for a role, and lets members who hold the role mint one to their wallet. Use it for proof of participation, collectibles, credentials and onchain badges.

Create the NFT

  1. In the admin panel, open Spaces & roles, select the role, and under Unlocks press Add reward.
  2. Pick NFT, then Create new NFT reward.
  3. Upload the image or video (JPG, PNG or MP4, up to 100 MB; square works best).
  4. Enter a Name, and optionally a Metadata description and attributes with Add attribute.
  5. Pick the Chain. Only chains where Guild's NFT contract is available are listed; see Supported chains.
  6. Set a Price, or leave it at zero for a free mint. Collectors also pay a small Guild fee on top, shown under the price. Set the Payout address that receives the mint price.
  7. Under Availability, choose Non-transferable (soulbound) or Transferable.
  8. Optionally switch on Limit supply to cap the total number of NFTs and how many each member can collect. First come, first served.
  9. Press Create NFT reward. Your wallet asks you to sign the transaction that deploys the contract, on the chain you picked.

NFT rewards you've created before are listed under Available NFT rewards. Each NFT reward belongs to a single role.

How it works for members

Members who hold the role press Collect NFT and mint it to their wallet. Minting is an onchain transaction, so they pay gas, plus the price and fee if you set one.

Gotchas

  • An NFT is permanent. A member who loses the role keeps the NFT they minted.
  • The chain can't be changed after the contract is deployed.
  • Limiting the claiming time isn't available yet.
