Discord

Be a member of a server, or have an account old enough.

Discord requirements check a member's connected Discord account: whether it's in a server, and what it has there, such as a role or a nickname, or how old the account is.

What it's for

• Bring an existing Discord community into Guild: give everyone with your "Verified" Discord role a matching Guild role.
• Reward long-standing members: "in the server since before 2024".
• Keep out throwaway accounts: "Discord account created before last year".

To give members a Discord role, rather than check one, use a Discord reward.

Set it up

1. Under Who gets it, press Requirement, open Discord and pick Discord member or Account age.
2. For Discord member:
   1. Pick the Server. The list shows the servers your own Discord account is in, so you must be a member of the server, though not necessarily an admin.
   2. Under Select what to check, choose Server member, Server member since, Nickname, Premium since (Server Boost) or Role.
   3. Fill in the value, for example pick the role.
3. For Account age, pick the Registration Date and how to compare it.
4. Press Add requirement.

Gotchas

• Members must connect their Discord account. If their connection has expired, they're asked to reconnect Discord before the requirement can be checked.
• Guild reads membership through the member's own Discord connection. If they leave the server, the requirement stops being met.
• If your guild has an invite link saved for the server, members see Join the Discord on the requirement.

Examples

• Discord OGs: Discord member, your server, Server member since, before 1 January 2023.
• Moderators: Discord member, your server, Role, "Moderator".
• Real accounts: Account age, registered before 1 June 2025.
